Four mushrooms in the bowl: how our immune powder is built
Critical Immune Defense is a powder, not a chew, for one reason: dose accuracy. A scoop lets us write a chart that starts at a five-pound cat and ends at a 140-pound mastiff without anyone cutting tablets in half.
Here is what the scoop carries and why each part is there.
- 01
Turkey tail
The mushroom with the deepest research record for immune support; rich in polysaccharides that interact with a pet’s own defense cells.
- 02
Reishi
Valued for a healthy inflammatory response and for helping the body adapt to physical and environmental stress.
- 03
Shiitake and maitake
Shiitake brings antiviral and antifungal compounds; maitake is dense with vitamins and active ingredients that stimulate the immune system.
- 04
White turmeric root extract
A patented extract that sits alongside the mushrooms to support normal cell growth and a calm inflammatory response.
- 05
How to give it
Twice daily over food: ¼ scoop for pets up to 5 lbs, ½ scoop over 5 lbs or up to 25, 1 scoop at 26–50 lbs, 2 scoops at 51–100 lbs, 3 scoops above that.
The powder is chicken-flavored and hypo-allergenic, so it disappears into wet food — and most dry food with a splash of water.
